Garbage Collection Rules

Active Garbage Collection Service is Mandatory by Mason Co. Ordinance #07-09 for any occupied residential location in our service area.

Your garbage collection day is:

MCGC defines reasonable use as no more than 3-5 (30-35 gallon) cans per week. Anything in excess of this amount should be pre-arranged as a special pick up.

HELP US KEEP MASON COUNTY CLEAN.

We do not guarantee pick-up time will be the same every week as route issues may arise that are beyond our control. Please be sure to set your trash out the evening prior to your pickup day to ensure it is out when our trucks go through.

Your trash must be contained within garbage bags. Loose trash will not be picked up. If animals tear into your trash it will have to be rebagged in order for us to pick it up.

We pick up only residential waste. Yard waste, such as leaves, grass, or tree branches, will have to be disposed of separate from our residential service. This is true for tires and construction waste as well.

Special Pick-Up Arrangement(s)

If you have something to get rid of that is not considered household waste, such as an old appliance or piece of furniture, please contact the Garbage Collections Office during regular business hours to discuss possible special pick-up arrangements and/or costs associated with retrieval and disposal of the item(s). Any items which are not regular household waste that are set out will not be picked up without special arrangement.
