The Mason County Sheriff’s Office strives to maintain the highest standards of excellence utilizing training and technology to create a safe environment for the citizens of Mason County and the Commonwealth of Kentucky.


The Mason County Sheriff’s Office mission is to provide social order while protecting the liberty within the framework of the Constitution of the United States of America with reasonable direction and maximum cooperation from the public.

This mission can be accomplished through crime suppression, community outreach, and constitutional awareness:

  • Crime Suppression
    • Maximizing our investigative capabilities through technology and data to prevent, reduce, and solve crime in the community.
    • Continuing communication and cooperation with surrounding law enforcement agencies.
    • Utilizing a common-sense impartial approach to policing in alignment with local, state, and federal law.
  • Community Outreach
    • Continuing positive partnerships with all schools in Mason County.
    • Supporting, training, and educating local business, churches, organizations with public safety needs.
    • Maintaining positive interactions with all people we serve.
  • Constitutional Awareness
    • Recruiting, selecting, and retaining constitutionally educated deputies and staff
    • Increasing external education and awareness to the public of the role the U.S. Constitution and the safeguards inscribed therein.
    • Continuing internal education regarding our duty to provide social order while understanding the limitations imposed on us by the U.S. Constitution
